At its March 12, 2024 regular meeting the Macon County Board of Commissioners approved several capital and school-related actions, set a public hearing on the potential sale of the Pine Grove School property, and voted to pursue a state CAB broadband grant with a county match after a 4-1 vote. The board also called a November advisory referendum on a one-quarter cent sales tax to help fund school capital projects.
