At its Feb. 25, 2026 meeting in David City, the Butler County Planning Commission adopted Resolution 2026-04 and voted to impose temporary moratoriums on several commercial land uses — including commercial wind and solar farms, battery storage, data centers and landfills — while excluding projects where physical construction has already begun. The commission will forward the resolution to the County Board on March 2, 2026.
