At its Aug. 19, 2025 meeting the County Council of Dorchester County approved multiple procurement and landfill contracts, adopted Resolution No. 683 after a public hearing, and discussed transportation and legislative priorities ahead of Sept. 16 meetings with state officials. The Chamber and the sheriff presented the "Dorchester Goes Purple" substance-misuse campaign with a kickoff set for Sept. 2.
