Dorchester County Council met Jan. 21, 2025 and voted to adopt an ordinance abolishing the Board of Electrical Examiners, rejected a repeal of the Burial Sites Preservation chapter while granting the board a one-year trial, approved the sale of a county asphalt plant, allocated opioid restitution funds for medication-assisted treatment in the detention center, and approved several administrative contracts and leases.
