Madison County Board held its reorganizational meeting on Dec. 5, 2022, swore in newly elected board members, conducted a roll call and quorum check, and held a contested election for chairperson pro tem that included a failed motion to postpone, a nomination for Mick Madison and a legal discussion about abstentions, ordinance change authority and the Open Meetings Act.
