The Village of Estero council met March 4, 2026. Council recognized a GFOA award, approved several construction and utility contracts and motions (including regional stormwater work and utility extension projects), authorized due diligence on the proposed purchase of the Burt rail corridor, approved appointments to the planning board, discussed a proposed code-compliance liens administrative policy addressing about $5 million in outstanding liens, and received a briefing on Florida's "Live Local" housing law and potential local impacts.
