Minnesota House Education Policy Committee met March 24, 2026 to hear and lay over multiple education bills, including parental-notification language for adverse incidents (HF751), an optional local anonymous reporting system (HF3764) and bills on literacy screening and statewide health standards (HF1490, HF3550). Committees adopted author amendments, heard extensive testimony from educators, advocates and state agency staff, and several motions to refer or place bills on the general register failed on 7–7 ties and the bills were laid over for further work.
