Raeford City Council met Aug. 7, 2023. The council approved multiple rezoning requests (two residential and one highway-commercial), sent a contested rezoning for Lemont Drive back to staff after resident objections, heard a parks master-plan presentation, authorized pursuing grant funding for a police K-9 program, and adopted several financing and budget resolutions to fund vehicles and equipment.
