The La Crosse Board of Zoning Appeals voted 4-1 on Feb. 16, 2026, to grant a reduced-fill variance for a proposed single-family dwelling at 412 Liberty Street, modifying the applicant's request to require minimum base flood elevation compliance and smaller side-yard fill reductions. The board heard staff testimony, applicant presentation and a contested deliberation before approving the motion.
