The Scotland Board of Selectmen on Aug. 27 approved a bond resolution authorizing up to $16.9 million for bridge repairs, Town Hall and public safety renovations and set a special town meeting for Sept. 30 to consider the borrowing and other items. The treasurer reported town finances, contractor bids for a Town Hall septic replacement and multiple operational items including landfill violations and equipment needs.
