Mattoon CUSD 2 board met in March 2026 to recognize staff, approve a resolution to expand the Coles County enterprise zone to allow residential tax abatements, accept a package of construction bids funded largely by a 1% local sales tax, approve routine consent and personnel items, and direct staff to move next year’s board meetings to a 6:00 p.m. start and rotate meeting locations through district schools.
