Mayor Lawrence Reel called the meeting to order at about 6:01 p.m., announced the meeting is livestreamed and that the public can participate via Zoom, and turned the meeting over to the clerk for participation instructions and recording notice.
The Los Ranchos Board of Trustees held an organizational meeting on Jan. 20, 2026. Trustees adopted meeting rules (including a move to strive for a 4‑day notice for special meetings), deferred several organizational items to February, confirmed multiple staff appointments, approved two property purchases for a proposed roundabout and stormwater pond, reviewed a midyear finance report, heard public comment on 4th Street striping and acequias, and adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
