Standing committee meeting of the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind (USDB) standing committee on March 17: public commenters urged a statewide language and communication plan for deaf and hard-of-hearing students; USDB presented enrollment, services and enrichment funding updates; the committee extensively amended and approved a suicide-prevention policy and approved truancy and child-abuse reporting policies; several items were deferred to next month.
