At its March 25 meeting the Sachem Central School District board heard a proposal to change an elementary special-education class ratio to 10:1, received a detailed budget update showing a $13.4 million gap with a plan to use fund balance to close it, and heard a legislative committee report on recent Albany advocacy including progress on a school security-guard bill and a proposed academic-intervention-services reimbursement bill.
