Sue Hagener, Sequim finance director, presented the city's 2025 review of investment, debt-management and fund-balance policies to the mayor and council. She reported about $27 million in cash and investments, said the portfolio meets statutory requirements though returns fell below policy benchmarks, and said she will bring a revised policy addressing state-auditor guidance this year.
