At the June 23 Village of Forest Park council meeting, commissioners approved a package of ordinances and resolutions including a municipal grocery tax the village will adopt to replace a pending state repeal, several project contracts and change orders, a hiring-waiver to fill a finance assistant position, and permits for a Chamber 5K run; votes were recorded with three members voting aye and two members absent.
