At its Jan. 20, 2026 regular meeting, the Georgetown City Council approved committee minutes and routine bills, authorized a $15,000 grant to the American Legion, approved creating a Capital Projects Fund, and agreed to begin a dam-improvement project that would honor Jim Chandler. The Water/Sewer Committee recommended raising the minimum water/sewer charge; an ordinance will be prepared.
