The Santa Fe Public Schools Board of Education met March 26 to hear public forum speakers, receive an update on family liaisons and a ‘Keeping Families Safe’ initiative, consider the 2026–27 school calendar and adopt it, accept the FY2025 financial audit, designate Gonzales Community School as a School of Innovation, and move to immediately remove the Cesar Chavez name from the South Side elementary school, adopting a temporary name and launching a community naming process.
