Chair called the budget committee back into session at 06:30 and recorded attendance (13 of 16 present; Betsy and Josh excused). Chair announced an addition to the agenda: a public Q&A for the superintendent/administrators after public participation.
RSU 40/MSAD 40 budget committee met to review the proposed FY 2026-27 operating budget, hear public comment (notably in defense of the Rams/Grama alternative-education program), and vote on a recommendation to forward a $42,800,183.13 operating budget to the full board after several staffing adjustments and motions. The committee rescinded an earlier dollar cap, added several instructional positions, and approved a recommendation to present the revised budget to the full board.
