At its March 16, 2026 meeting, the Bay City City Commission heard extended public comment about whether the band "Confederate Railroad" should perform at the city fireworks festival, discussed road repairs and potholes, and approved several items including a downtown special assessment roll, vacating Jefferson Street, and an ordinance amendment adding a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes provision for the New Market Commons affordable housing project.
