Chair David Harris called the meeting to order, conducted roll call and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Harris acknowledged the Kumeyaay Nation as the original inhabitants of the land and announced a new CAC representative appointment for National City.
The San Diego Community Power Citizen Advisory Committee heard staff briefings and discussed two staff proposals: (1) updates to an inclusive and sustainable workforce policy and the energy proposal evaluation criteria including a project labor agreement requirement for utility-scale projects; and (2) a proposed community benefits grant framework for roughly $2.8 million in negotiated community benefit funds. Staff also reported that Coronado is pursuing membership and that Community Power received a stable A credit rating.
