Mayor Bill Wells called the May 14, 2024 meeting of the El Cajon City Council to order, asked the city clerk Angela to call the roll, led the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence, and noted that meeting notices were posted in compliance with state law.
The El Cajon City Council met May 14, 2024. Council heard presentations on library summer programming and America on Main Street, adopted a zoning-code amendment (including a prohibition on intoxicating hemp and changes for tiny/movable homes and porches), approved delinquent trash liens, authorized an updated appraisal for 425 W. Main (Travelodge), approved several traffic-calming measures, reallocated funds for a business facade grant program and approved building repairs at 405 E. Lexington, and directed staff on anti-panhandling signage.
