The Stockton City Council held the first public hearing on a proposed charter amendment to add a mayoral public information officer and to clarify the City of Stockton Public Information Office. Council members agreed to adjust language (changing “allowed access” to “will be provided information necessary”) and set a second hearing on June 4 and a final vote for June 27 at 1:30 p.m.
