The Defiance City Council met March 24, 2026, adopted two emergency ordinances — to assign a lieutenant to a multi-area narcotics task force and to authorize purchase of a replacement gas-membrane dome for the water pollution control plant — and heard a public request from the Latin Community Center to combine and slightly expand downtown festival space on Sept. 12.
