Mesquite City Council met Jan. 13, 2026. Council heard public comments about a disputed liquor/parking approval at Red Hills, received reports on parks, public safety and public works, and approved several routine purchases and bid awards including windscreens for Haven Park tennis courts, a wastewater maintenance building contract and increased safety measures for Falcon Ridge driving range; the council also ratified a new finance director.
