Melbourne Beach Town Commission met March 18 to hear public comment on flooding and easement vacations, review manager and attorney reports, approve an RFP for grant-writing services, authorize an auction of surplus town signs to fund manatee protections, and consider several site-plan and consent items. A proposed commission letter asking the governor to refer the mayor to the Florida Ethics Commission drew a heated exchange and was withdrawn for individual submissions instead.
