Public commenters at an Avon Town Council meeting raised concerns that a Duke Energy representative told homeowners trees would be removed for the Dan Jones Road project and that the county would reimburse them; council members approved several routine items including a $5,000 Duke Energy grant, a 1,800-ton road salt order, park equipment purchases and a surplus police vehicle resolution.
