The Contractors State License Board met March 19, 2026 to hear executive, legislative, enforcement, licensing and public affairs updates; the board authorized rulemaking to clarify C-46 solar contractorsauthority on battery energy storage systems, approved staff to submit an SB291 report on a proposed workerscompensation exemption and enforcement unit, and directed staff to draft a certification pathway for B2 residential remodelers to gain limited structural experience.
