Colstrip-area school leaders discussed the district's 2026 base budget, special coal-mitigation and other restricted funds, and the effects of recently passed House Bill 156 on local tax distribution. The board also opened community discussion about possible consolidation (moving middle-school students), gym/pool capacity, maintenance needs and next steps including a public survey.
