National City Council held its Jan. 14 meeting where the council approved consultant contracts to pursue for-sale homeownership on city parcels, authorized exploratory work on additional freeway billboards, voted to place a tobacco-retail-license workshop on a future agenda after extensive public comment, approved a $2 million deposit to Neighborhood National Bank, and approved a 10% pay increase for the mayor and council.
