The Village of Maywood Board of Trustees held a special meeting May 4, 2021, where trustees approved several routine payments and municipal actions, heard a developer presentation seeking a Class 6B tax incentive for a new facility at 1900 South Maywood, approved a façade improvement expenditure and a small adjacent-neighbor property sale, and voted to move the May 18 swearing-in ceremony to Proviso East High School.
