A Hillsborough County oversight committee reviewed a state executive-team audit of county spending and operations, challenged several findings as based on poor sourcing or inappropriate comparisons, and agreed to produce a local report for the county commission while requesting more data on compensation, parks spending, grants, auto allowances, film‑commission payments and DEI positions.
