The Skokie Village Board met in April to approve an intergovernmental agreement with Cook County for Oakton Street improvements (including lane reductions and pedestrian safety measures), authorize a change order to accelerate water-main work ahead of the resurfacing, hear proclamations and community recognitions, and receive public comment on parking-lot heat islands, local trees, broadband access, and business impacts from street redesigns.
