Washington County planners presented a long-range plan for a roughly 13-mile Battle Creek–St. Croix regional trail and asked the Maplewood Parks & Recreation Commission to consider a future letter or resolution of support. Commissioners then began drafting 2026 goals emphasizing engagement, signage, student recruitment and sustainability, and provided early feedback on the Century Ponds park playground designs.
