At a New Providence borough council meeting, the council swore in a new police sergeant, heard a student presentation about Unity Day 2026, approved multiple personnel appointments and contracts, accepted several grants, introduced an ordinance to sell property to Summit Speech School, and adopted a resolution opposing New Jersey Senate Bill 4736 on conversions of nonresidential property to inclusionary housing.
