At its April 6, 2026 meeting, the Barrington Village Board honored longtime commission member Ray Keane, approved routine consent items and a $2,142,552.40 warrants list, and spent the bulk of the evening discussing a proposed Illinois housing bill (referred to in the meeting as the "BUILD" bill) that trustees and staff said would preempt local zoning and could allow multifamily units by right in single-family neighborhoods.
