Hacienda La Puente Unified School District board met June 12, 2025; the superintendent opened with a land acknowledgement and reassurances for families after recent immigration enforcement in the region; the board held multiple public hearings, heard extended public comment on school safety, Head Start spending and childcare staffing, approved a bundle of contracts and several program renewals (including youth film and speech & debate), and debated but split on a preservation resolution and Palm Elementary modernization.
