The Fort Myers Beach Charter Review Commission voted unanimously April 7, 2026, to send a final package of five recommended charter changes to the town council for consideration, including measures on transparency, a recurring compensation-review committee, vacancy filling, elections/canvassing and camping regulation. The commission approved the recommendation package and will present it to council on April 20.
