Wayne City Council on April 7, 2026 approved modest water and sewer rate increases to take effect July 1, approved placement of a library millage renewal on the August 4 ballot, awarded two public-works contracts, accepted a donation for a police vehicle wrap and honored the 2025 Police Officer of the Year, and moved into a closed session to consult legal counsel on pending litigation.
