Gilmer County Schools board met April 2026; trustees approved the 2026–27 school calendar, several routine contracts and personnel actions, authorized payment of bills, approved districtwide student planners and requested a presentation on a parent-communication platform, endorsed a superintendent recommendation to give principals authority over technology-damage restitution, and heard a science-lab facilities update including an SBA major-needs submission.
