Jared Lundbag (Fairfax County Department of Transportation, on-street parking team) opened the meeting, explained it's being recorded, described participation rules, and said the meeting will discuss a proposed large-area community parking district (CPD). He introduced staff and said the public survey and comment period are open through April 30.
Fairfax County Department of Transportation held an online public meeting to present a proposed Dranesville Large Area Community Parking District and take questions; residents were split between calling the measure necessary to prevent spillover parking and urging a more targeted, neighborhood-by-neighborhood approach. Public comment and an online survey remain open through 04/30/2026 and the supervisor may direct staff to take the proposal to a Board of Supervisors public hearing if there is sufficient support.
