Mayor called the Aztec City regular meeting to order at 5:59 p.m., an invocation was led by Commissioner Crowley and the pledge by Commissioner Randall; Clerk Carla called the roll and all members were present.
The Aztec City Commission on Sept. 23 approved a $190,000 special budget resolution to replace two aging water production pumps, adopted updated parks-and-recreation fees, and advanced changes to how the city will license short-term rentals and collect the lodgers tax. Staff gave multiple infrastructure updates — including large change orders for an arterial paving project — and warned of a compliance risk at the water and wastewater plants if certified operator positions are not filled by Jan. 1.
