Chair (speaker 1) called the meeting to order, led administrative items including the pledge and roll call and sought approval of the agenda; Commissioner Dr. Stevens Gunn moved to approve the agenda and Commissioner Willis supported it; the commission approved the agenda.
The City of Southfield Planning Commission met Nov. 19, 2025. The commission issued favorable recommendations to city council on a conditional rezoning at Edwards & Greenfield for a 32-unit multifamily project, rezoning and site plan recommendations for Habitat for Humanity duplexes, a major Costco redevelopment (rezoning, special-use for a fuel station and site plan) and a 217,000 sq ft data center; public commenters raised traffic, parking, stormwater and water-use concerns.
