The Government Operations committee reviewed H.841, a broad animal welfare bill that would expand the Division of Animal Welfare, authorize a certified rabies vaccinator program, set registration rules for shelters/importers and pet dealers, require sterilization and licensing conditions for wolf hybrids, add insurance and advertising transparency rules, and direct the division to report back by December.
