Kewanee City Council met Sept. 8, 2025. Council held a closed session on personnel and litigation, approved routine consent items and several resolutions, deadlocked 2-2 on a special-use permit for trailer parking at 324 East Second St., amended and approved a TIF resolution to solicit bids for sidewalk/curb work, and tabled a proposed non‑home rule tax ordinance.
