The Castle Valley Water Advisory Council met March 9, 2026, to review a UGS study on valley-fill aquifer vulnerability, consider pursuing a groundwater management plan, and set monitoring and priority actions including use of an abandoned well for sampling. Members also reviewed state legislation (HB 60) that narrows protest grounds for water-rights applications and heard updates on funding for metering and watershed protections.
