The Senate Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee met to consider several bills and an extensive amendment to the DLGF bill (’12-10’) that would change local income tax distribution, property tax rules, TIF definitions, food & beverage and innkeeperstax allocations, municipal advisor requirements, and other fiscal provisions. Committee members asked technical questions about local control of assessments, impacts on counties and cities, and a $40 million augmentation for the Indiana Office of Information Technology; the amendment and related motions passed unanimously and the committee adjourned.
