Interim Public Works Director Lars Ewing gave a briefing to the Lake County Planning Commission on the department's five-year pavement preservation plan, funding sources (gas tax, SB1, federal funds, grants), staffing and equipment, and targets to increase chip-seal work from about 17 to 30 60 miles per year (with a stretch goal of 50). Community members asked about vegetation spraying, heavy trucks, 4290 compliance and how to contact Public Works.
