Chair (speaker 1) called the work session to order, led the pledge and read a land-acknowledgement reflecting the Town's recognition of the Narragansett Tribe. He then introduced the evening's presentation topic (form-based code for Old Tower Hill Road).
The South Kingstown Town Council held a work session where consultants from Able City East and Daedalus Advisory Services presented a proposed form-based zoning code for Old Tower Hill Road, reviewed economic modeling, and fielded council and public questions about mandatory vs. optional application, grandfathering, traffic, parking and impacts on existing businesses. The council asked staff to produce an updated draft ordinance and return with next steps.
