Akron City Council considered a proposed rules amendment to formalize vacancy screening committees and public engagement (which failed on a 5–6 vote) and approved an emergency ordinance to purchase two Stryker power cots for EMS (11–0). The meeting also included public comments about hunger, demolition prevention, blight and camera policy during public comment.
